Rick Woodson – Minister - Bass Guitar / Piano
Rosie Woodson – Lead/Harmony Vocals
Rick and Rosie were part of the original family group, the Woodson Family, that started in May of 1981 in Jamestown, TN. Both are children of parents who were pastors and missionaries and spent much of their young lives traveling with them into the mission field.
No strangers to obeying the Lords call to service, they, along with Bill and Kim Woodson, packed up all their kids and moved, when called to do mission work, to Southwest Colorado in 1989. They changed the name of the group to “Wings of Love Ministries” in 1991.
Rick and Rosie have dedicated their lives to the Lord’s service and minister to those in need and those seeking truth. Together they have four children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In 2006 Rick became Pastor of Hosanna Fellowship in Lebanon, TN. Three of their four children and their spouses actively serve alongside Rick and Rosie at Hosanna Fellowship.
Rosie’s mother was a bit of a writer and wrote songs, sermons, and poems. While going through some of her mothers’ old letters Rosie found a song, written by her mother, called “Anchored in Jesus”. Her granddaughter added music and now “Anchored in Jesus” is on the latest Wings of Love project called, “By His Light”.
Thankful for their parents’ dedication to the Lord and to the service of others, Rick and Rosie tirelessly answer the call to preach the gospel to those that seek the truth. They have ministered and served on missions from the Navajo Reservation in Colorado to Uganda, Africa
Danny Hébert – Guitarist and Singer/Songwriter
Kay Hébert – Piano/Keyboard
Danny and Kay were asked to join Wings of Love in May of 2021. Their first performance was in Comanche, TX the following July at Zion Hill’s Church revival.
Danny and Kay are married and live in Tellico Plains, TN with their German Shephard Lucy.
Collectively they have been blessed with eight children, ten grandchildren, (number eleven due in January), and four great-grandchildren.
Both are experienced musicians; As a daughter of a pastor, Kay grew up playing and singing Southern Gospel and was the church pianist in her family’s church for many years. She also played piano and sang with The Hatfield’s, a gospel group from Jamestown, TN.
Danny has played with several bands over his career and travelled mostly in the southeastern US. Although new to the Southern Gospel genre, he has already accumulated his own collection of favorite Southern Gospel songs. Danny has also written several gospel songs of his own, four of which are on the new Wings of Love album, “By His Light”.
Danny’s songwriting inspiration comes from many places. Sometimes it’s from scripture study with his wife Kay, it has been from a special sermon, and sometimes it’s from a not too subtle push from the Holy Spirit.
Bill Woodson – Drummer, Singer/Songwriter, Evangelist
Kim Woodson – Lead Singer, Minister
Bill and Kim have been married for 46 years and have two sons and three granddaughters. Bill’s parents and grandparents were pastors, evangelists, and missionaries. Bill played drums growing up traveling with his parents as his sisters and dad sang.
While Rick is the pastor of the group, Bill is the evangelist. His unique style of ministering through song or Word is uplifting, captivating, and sure to touch your heart. Bill answered the call to minister at 21 years old. He is a singer, songwriter, drummer, and minister. He loves preaching and singing for the glory of God.
Bill and Kim attend Love’s Way Church in Lebanon, TN, where he serves on the security team and both Bill and Kim are on the altar team. He is also a co-host with Robin Hardin on the weekly television series Dream Catcher, where you can “Catch Your Dream.”
Kim was saved as a young girl and started singing in her local church. She grew up singing with her uncle Billy Taylor and mother Billie Murphy Jackson. During this time, Kim had an experience with the Lord, where He anointed her to minister in song. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter who went to college at 45 years old. One of her favorite scriptures is Matt. 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Dwain Haley – Drummer/Percussionist
Marietta Haley – Guitar, PR
Dwain, the son of a gospel musician father and mother who travelled and performed for all that would hear the word. Dwain’s father sang tenor in several quartets and in some trios with his mother. Dwain started playing drums when he was seven years old and grew up playing in church and later had the honor of traveling and playing in bands with his parents.
Dwain met the Woodson’s’ in the 80’s at the church they both attended. Almost forty years later Dwain married Rosie’s youngest sister Marietta and now he is an integral part of The Wings of Love family.
Marietta is Rosie’s youngest sister and grew up with the same ministering parents. Proud of her family heritage, a family that has served God faithfully all her life, Marietta bears witness to the miracles of God and the amazing things her parents’ ministry accomplished.
She and Dwain have been happily married for seven years; they have five children and five grandchildren.
Wings of Love has shared the stage with many greats like the Wilburn Family, the Inspirations, Mid-South, The Perry’s, The Freeman’s, The Singing Cooks, The Singing Rexroats, The Perry Sisters, The Encores, The Fox Brothers, and many others at Coleman Looper’s Grand Ole Gospel Barn in Crossville, TN. Their most memorable moments were singing with Vineyard, Charlie Daniels, and Ricky Skaggs and witnessing thousands of worshipers praising the Lord.
Coined as “a traveling ministry that also sings, ” Wings of Love Ministries has hosted a ladies’ retreat every year for the last twenty-three years that speaks to women’s spiritual needs and empowerment. They hosted a ten-year youth camp and worked with Native Americans in the Four Corners area.
